This new event features unique collaborations between writers and musicians. A revolving cast of established and up-and coming artists perform new work based around a particular theme, curated by John Williams and Richard James. This month’s seasonal theme is Beaches – and features collaborations from an assortment of special guests.
July’s Guests
Tom Anderson – Travel writer and surfer from Wales’s very own surf city – Porthcawl.
Des Barry – The Merthyr-born novelist whose very surname pays homage to our finest local holiday resort.
Charlotte Greig – Words and music from Ms G, born on the beach-splattered island of Malta.
Lindsey Leven & Guto Price- alt.rock songstress, from the beach town that is Dundee, with Super Furry bass supremo.
Robert Lewis – Wales’s finest purveyor of down and out detective fiction.
Ed Mugford – song-styling from In Chapters regular bassist Mr M, currently resident in the tropical beach town of Penarth.
David E. Oprava – Poet, once of Manhattan, now of Canton, both just a bus ride from the beach.
There will also be a very special guest of such specialness that we can’t reveal his or her name just yet.
The In Chapters band features:
Gareth Bonello – aka The Gentle Good – singer songwriter multi-instrumentalist and bird-lover.
Eugene Capper – Producer, engineer, songwriter and banjoist for The Evening Chorus, here showing his skills on the violin
Andy Fung – drummer of distinction all the way from Maracas Bay Trinidad from the
Iwan Morgan – sound collages and loops from the esteemed producer.
